I thought I’d take a trip, a lofty sail
To get to know the sea and know it well
To float upon it’s royal azure swell
To travel with my troubles through the gale.
But soon I felt an inkling in the air
A storm would soon approach from who knows where
So from the sea I head with all my cares
Not wanting to release my burdens there.
Once on the land I face with open mind
The trials of the day, the usual kind
And pray to God that He would help me find
A better way to bow to His design.
For God knows best how much that we can take
His plan was made for us for heaven’s sake.
Though we may search for peace upon the wake
An ocean of His love is all it takes.
