As Christmas nears, we have many choices to make…what events to go to, what presents to buy, and for whom, what delicious foods to make, and the list goes on. BUT…The best gift that was ever given was Jesus and the best decision we can ever make is to accept that gift and choose Him!

I Choose Him!

We must make our selection
a personal election
our president
heart’s resident
each person must decide

God is a great campaigner
to win our souls retainer
He’s needed there
I do declare
our sin needs a retainer

The enemy’s employing
sins we find enjoying
we must beware
he does not care
our souls he loves destroying

The cure for our condition-
to give our Lord permission
to come on in
remove our sin
there’s peace in this submission

The better choice- our Savior
to live within His favor
we’ll not regret
the friend we get
He’ll never ever waver

Sometimes I pause in wonder of how perfectly loving God is in His heart, that He shows no favoritism and has grace unlimited. He shows perfect love to us imperfect people. I am so glad!

For the Lord your God is God of gods and Lord of lords, the great, the mighty, and the awesome God, who is not partial and takes no bribe. Deuteronomy 10:17

My Father’s Heart

My Father’s heart holds mine

as tenderly He says,

“I love you, daughter, dear

and will for all your days.”

Though often you will see

a trial here and there,

I’ll be your solid rock

Your place of loving care.

Keep looking at the sky

and I’ll be looking too.

we’ll get through anything

together, me and you.

Winds Of Change

The winds outside my window rage and roll

Causing storms to stir within my soul

For as the sound assaults and fills my ears

It threatens to replace my faith with fears

But scary winds can point us to the One

Who holds all thing together ‘neath the sun

His plan is greater far than anything

As is his peace that He will always bring

So if you start to doubt the road ahead

And start the day with worry,do instead:

Just tell the Father that you trust Him so

Even though the storms of life still blow

Have a great day! Storms will come, but God is able to save!
