Good Morning! Here is one of my first poems I wrote this year, focused on time, which belongs to the Lord.

I cannot make the past stand still, nor make the future pause

I cannot halt the present time and meddle with God’s cause

For only God directs all time; in wisdom He commands

Time for trials, learning, love and blessings from His hands

He knows just when the time is right to call His children home

Although He knows I’ll miss them much and often feel alone

Still, I’d never trade a thing. There’s nothing I would give

To have my dear ones, gone to God, come back with me to live

As precious as the mem’ries are, I hold inside my heart

I will not mourn the loss of time that we will spend apart

For now they’re home with joy that’s full and that brings joy to me

They ran their race and have their prize, are happy as can be

So I will treasure what they were and thank the Lord indeed

For all the time He left them here, for knowing what I need

For God designs what He deems best as blessings never end

My hope’s in God and God alone, no matter what He sends

I don’t know what the future holds, but trust who’s holding me

So I will praise Him all my days and serve Him happily!
